Day 3- Sunday, August 29 in Basel, Switzerland
The city is beautiful with rich historical buildings next to modern skyscrapers. We had breakfast and dinner in charming restaurants overlooking the Rhine River. Watched a ferry tethered to a cable as it crossed to transport passengers against the fast flowing current. Two swimmers easily glided thru the water on their morning swim. Explored old town Basel with Steff and Nancy getting in our steps. Visited the Historisches Museum. Basel is known for its many museums. Thinking of my mom who was from Zurich......Catching up on sleep with this last nap. Taking longer as we get older... wishing you all a good Sunday. Stay safe! Krys

Packing, unpacking, repacking...why can't they make those suitcases the right size and lighter??? Checking documents, flight times, snacks, instructions to kids, sanity... Looking forward to Rhine River cruise with our dear friends from college, Steff and Nancy. Also reconnecting with Marian and her family in Belgium. We have kept in touch since high school when she was our foreign exchange student. The adventure and anxiety begins...
